Default Have anti-adrenal skills doubled in effectiveness?

Now with the new dervishes, and at the very least for PvP, have the mesmer's anti-adrenaline skills doubled in eficiency? Are adrenaline builds now often enough to dedicate one skill slot to anti-adrenal?

If you run illusion, Soothing Images lasts long enough to use it as Auspicious Incantation Fodder. Arcane conundrum is also energy management.

On the other hand, physical shutdown such as Calculated Risk (50% miss) and Blurred Vision (50% miss) are probably more effective in the long run in terms of mitigating damage. Dervishes only get about +20 or +25 from their adrenaline attacks.

In terms of competitive PvP, not really. Dervishes generally replace warriors, not add to them. As they are generally less reliant on adrenaline then warriors, it actually makes such skills even weaker.

But if dervishes can't activate their attacks, they'll barely have skills to feed their own enchants, with the possible exception of one and even two in few cases. Only a wounding strike bar wouldn't have much problems with that.

Ex. Sympathetic Visage. On a monk or mesmer itself. Even if stripped, one hit would be enough to remove all adrenaline built.

You may shut down their adrenaline, but the auto attacks will still apply a fair amount of pressure. Empathy + Blurred + Blind+Weakness will do a better job at shutting down our new pious adrenaline-using junkies.

In other words: No adrenaline denial will have very little impact, and after watching the meta unfold observed game by observed game, I have no reason to believe there will be increased reliance on adrenaline denial.

Sympathetic Visage is easily countered by switching or enchant removal. The same can be said about Guardian, but Guardian is 1/2 the cost, 1/2 the recharge, mitigates auto hits, can be maintained assuming no enchant hate, and is available to Protection Prayers, an attribute that is always utilized in a PvP team build.
